Hunger

Today, around 1 in 9 people worldwide suffer from hunger – that’s 821 million people every single day who aren’t getting enough to eat.

As a global company operating in 72 countries and serving 100 million consumers every day, we are in a unique position to make a real difference. This was why in 1996, Sodexo employees banded together to launch Stop Hunger, our very own non-profit network to help local communities permanently escape hunger and malnutrition.

Stop Hunger is an eco-system of our 460,000 employees, our consumers, thousands of clients, shareholders and suppliers who have contributed to the cause in one way or another. In addition to gathering donations and making payroll-giving possible, we serve millions of meals annually worldwide and work with local partners and NGOs to empower communities. In Cambodia, our work impacts students (girls whose families suffer from food shortage) from the Happy Chandara School near Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The provision of healthy meals and creation of vegetable gardens at the school allow the girls to continue their education while feeding the local residents.
